The sheer scale of the billboard is evident in this amazing image taken during the installation of the newest work.
Installed over two or three days (depending on weather conditions), the billboard image is rolled out strip by strip by our team of intrepid abseilers who work carefully to ensure each strip is perfectly lined up and bubble-free.
Printed in-house on adhesive, weatherproof vinyl using UV-safe inks, the entire process takes about a week printing 24-hours-a-day. Dark artworks, such as the current billboard A Job for Life, can only be displayed during the cooler winter months. As the billboard faces west, the blazing summer sun fades dark colours almost immediately.
